Dan and Mel’s Truro Wedding

Wedding photography is such a joy at the best of times. Photographing the wedding of someone you’ve watched grow up, meet their soul mate and fall in love  is in a different league.Dan and Mel were married at Truro Baptist Church surrounded by friends and family on the only day this year that rain has forced me to shoot all the group photos inside. Fortunately, the rain stopped later on and we managed to take a walk around the local park for a few photos.

Choosing which photos to put on the blog was much more difficult than normal as I knew so many of the people and couldn’t resist taking  a few quirky photos-the bride’s dad shedding a tear; the groom’s sisters shedding a tear, or two, or three! In fact I was a bit worried at one stage that we’d all need life jackets! There’s church members pulling funny faces, or wearing aprons over their finery as they served food. Then there were several people who fell over – before the wine! In the end I decided to stick with more traditional ones and spare everyone’s blushes.

Well done Dan and Mel. It was a day to be remembered. Don’t forget that just because you are made for each other, it doesn’t mean you don’t need grace, forgiveness and hard work. All the very best for the future and thanks for inviting me to be your wedding photographer.
